In early 2004, Qingdao Haokun Heavy Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. was put into operation officially. In the beginning, our company was mainly engaged in the design and manufacturing of pipe ends beveling machines and hydrostatic testing machines. But soon we undertook the first ERW610 complete production line in China and delivered good results, which ensured our company's leading position in the steel pipe industry in China.
In following 2007 and 2008, we designed ERW630 welded pipe mills for China and other countries respectively. Each unit has great technical progress in comparison with its predecessors. Meanwhile, in 2007, we designed and manufactured the first X80 high steel grade SSAW1422×25.4mm spiral welded pipe mill in China. After the unit was put into production, it achieved good results, which attracted overseas orders to our company. In 2008, the two SSAW1422X25.4mm X80 spiral welded pipe mills that our company delivered to Malaysia Sdn Bhd Company (PETRONAS) were put into production and won a good reputation in the petroleum industry in Malaysia.
With manufacturing the straight-seam welded pipe and spiral welded pipe simultaneously, our company rapidly expanded its business. The annual production value of our company in both 2007 and 2008 was more than 100 million RMB. On the basis of the benefits obtained, we built the plants with an area of 13,000 square meters and brought various machine tools. Thus, our company established its initial machining and assembling scale.
In early 2009, we acquired a land of 16973 square meters for building a research and development center comprised of Information and Intelligence Department, Straight Welded Research Institute, Spiral Welded Research Institute, Electrohydraulic Research Institute, Cold Bending Steel Forming Research Institute, Computer Lab and Administrative Offices. The tenet of our research and development center is to first deeply deduce transformational theories of high-steel grade metal materials in a rolling process, such as stress and strain, parameters of force and energy in a forming process, cold roll forming technique and cold roll forming hole figures design, then convert these theories into applicable technology and finally apply the achievements in our company's designing and manufacturing of complete steel pipe production lines to improve the steel pipe production proficiency in China.
In the summer of 2009, we acquired a land of 44000 square meters for building a 14,400 square meter modern factory building. The factory building will be equipped with welded pipe units developed independently by our company. On one hand, these units will be used in industrial tests before finalization of design of new units. On the other hand, they will contribute to large-scale production of steel pipes. Our company constantly develops economic section-type steel pipes, further completing its research and development-production-operation model.
Over years, our company has updated and equipped the welded steel pipe enterprises with units made in China and contributed to China's export-oriented economy.
Haokun belongs to China, also the world. Its future will be more brilliant.
